Spooled File Tools (SPLTOOL), has just been updated to v10.20 which includes a new command that allows you to add a Code 128, UCC Code 128, Code 39 or Code EAN-13 barcode to an existing PDF or one created from a spooled file.
This feature was added because of a customer request because support for barcodes in AFPDS spooled files is going away in V7R3M0.
The new command is PDFBC (Add Barcode to PDF). It accepts parameters to specify the exiting PDF file to update (which is located in the IFS), the type of barcode to create, the value of the barcode, the x and y coordinates so we know where on the document to add the barcode, a barcode size option as well as a rotate option in case you need to rotate the barcode to fit with your project.
The PDFBC command can be used to add barcodes to spooled files created by SPLTOOL, AFPTOOL, or most other exiting PDF file.
